Hello, my name is Aaron and I live in Freiburg as a freelance instrument teacher and pianist. I came across the orchestra con anima during my studies at the Musikhochschule Freiburg and since then I have been enthusiastic about the idea of the project and the spirit in the group and therefore also happy to be part of the whole.

Besides music, I love being in nature, especially in the Alps.

I'm Berit and I studied school music in Freiburg, my instrument is the horn.

Ever since I listened to Con Anima's very first performance a few years ago, I've been intrigued by the idea of the orchestra. Now, after several study trips abroad, I am happy to have finally found my way into the orchestra and to be involved in this great project.

I'm Mariam and I'm passionate about playing my violin in the Con Anima Orchestra. It is wonderful to be able to make music in such a loving and warm-hearted atmosphere with such a diverse group. We are all united by the need for progress on our instrument and this motivation creates beautiful music. I am very grateful for that.

you see me in the ice cream parlor, in the theater or when hiking in the Black Forest

You have just started blooming

and yet you were already full of colors.

Some buds have not yet opened

and only briefly saw the light of earth.

You can no longer unfold many things yourself.

And yet you have sown your seed

and will be in full bloom

at times when some will say

that you are no longer there.

It is with great sadness that we have to say goodbye to our dear, dedicated flute teacher Hannah Schütz. Hannah passed away on February 18 at the age of 27 after a short, serious illness. Hannah was a loving soul in Con Anima, who taught reliably and with selfless commitment, made music with passion and great joy and was always there, discreetly, patiently and calmly, where help was needed. She was our exchange partner on pedagogical questions and a source of inspiration for musical and pedagogical visions. Her continuous support and motivation during the lockdown in online lessons and during rehearsals, which were made more difficult for wind players in particular by the Corona regulations, was indispensable. Most recently, Hannah helped set up and take the very first steps of our new Mozart group. We would have loved to have continued this project with you, dear Hannah, and wished that you could still see the fruits of your labor. Without you, many rehearsals, recordings and our summer concerts 2021 would not have been possible.

Dear Hannah, you leave a big void here –

But you also leave us your spirit full of life: We remember your smile, your joy in making music and teaching, your courtesy, your loving and appreciative interaction with your fellow human beings. Your light remains and we will keep it in our hearts and carry it out into the world.

You shaped us, dear Hannah! We are deeply grateful for the (much too short) time with you!

Our thoughts and condolences go out to Hannah's family and loved ones.
